ABOUT OUTCROP EXPLORATIONS

Outcrop Explorations Limited, a private company,was incorporated in 1983 by R.A. (Ron) Gilson, the great nephew of Fred Larose, one of the founding fathers of the Historical Cobalt Camp of Ontario, Canada.
Ron Gilson was born and raised in the Cobalt Camp in 1945 and began his mining career in the Cobalt Camp in the early 1960’s. He worked in the local mines, mills, smelter and refinery before incorporating his first company in 1970.

Outcrop Explorations Limited has a joint venture with Cabo Mining Enterprise Corp. of Vancouver. On December 31, 1998, Cabo Mining Enterprises Corp of Vancouver, B.C. acquired the rights to explore the largest contiguous land package in the History of the Cobalt Camp from Outcrop Explorations Limited and Prairie-C Resource Property Development totaling 27,000 acres and growing.Cabo has spent several million dollars in the Lorrain and Gillies Limit N.P. and Coleman Townships south of Cobalt, Ontario exploring for base metals in 2000 until 2002 when they discovered 95 diamonds in the Pan-Anderson Lake area .While Cabo is still interested in the diamond exploration, they have now started to focus on silver-cobalt exploration at this time, due to the higher prices for these metals.

Shirley Gilson, Outcrop’s Secretary-Treasurer-Director was likewise born and raised in the Cobalt Camp. Shirley Browne married Ron Gilson in 1963 and has been a driving force in Outcrop since its inception.

In 1983, Outcrop was incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario and began exploration and the accumulation of ground in the Cobalt Camp. To date, Outcrop has acquired more than 25,000 acres including former producers and virgin ground and continues to seek out ground of merit.

In 1983, Outcrop’s sister Company, Boston Creek Mines Limited, was incorporated to acquire two former copper-gold-silver producers in Pacaud Twp. 16 miles southwest of Kirkland Lake,Ontario, Canada.

In 1999,Outcrop Explorations Limited purchased Consolidated Professor Mines Limited and its Cobalt area properties and two patented properties in the Timmins area namely Prosser and Gowan Townships. Many of the Cobalt area properties are leased and/or patented.
