Ronald A Gilson -
(1945-2005) Mr. Gilson passed away on October 16, 2005.
Mr. Gilson has been involved in the mining business directly and
indirectly for most of his life. He was born and raised in Cobalt, Ontario
so his interest in the mining business comes by him naturally. He began
his mining career in the Cobalt Camp in the early 1960’s. He worked in the
local mines, mills, smelter and refinery before incorporating his first
company in 1970.
Shirley A Gilson - President, Secretary-Treasurer and Director
- Mrs. Gilson has taken on the mining business that her husband
worked so hard for during his lifetime.
Mrs. Gilson was likewise born and raised in Cobalt, Ontario.She is the
owner and editor of the on-line mining newsletter called
Canadian Mining News.
Although the newsletter and computer end of this business is relatively
new to her the mining business is not. Her home is situated on the famous
Silver Queen Mine property. She was born and raised in Cobalt and has
always been directly and indirectly involved in the mining business. Her
father and brothers worked in the mines for many years and her and her
husband Ron have been actively involved in the mining business for
nearly 40 years.
Kenneth Oberle - Chairman of the Board and Director
Mr. Oberle has been a businessman and retailer in Formosa,
Ontario for the last 30 years. He has been involved with Outcrop and
associated predecessor companies for 20 years.
Kenneth is active in community service work and past president of the
local Lions Club.
His hobbies are reading, listening to short wave radio and he has a
genuine love for old country music. He enjoys following stocks on the
Internet, especially mining ventures.
He and his wife Susan live at their retail establishment in Formosa where
his wife is active in ceramic crafts and serves as a member of the Board
of Referees for the Unemployment Insurance Commission.
Tracy Roy - Vice-President of Exploration and
Director
Mr. Roy is an avid outdoorsman following the lure of the hunt,
be it fish, wildlife or mining exploration. He has been actively involved
with Outcrop since its inception in 1983.
He has been active in many different aspects of the mining business from
staking claims, prospecting, line cutting to presently being a member of
the Board of Outcrop.
James D. MacIsaac Sr. - Vice-President of Marketing
and Director
Mr. MacIsaac has been president of
Tradewinds International
Resources Inc. since August 1994. His Company specializes in the sale and marketing of
cobalt, metal and salts, nickel metal and salts, manganese, ferro-alloy
metals, rare earth and precious metals,specialty chemicals, metal residues
and providing selective consulting services to chemical company clients.
Mr. MacIsaac has been actively affiliated with global metals and Chemicals
markets during the past 32 years and has extensive Industry knowledge,
supplier and customer contacts on an international basis.
Jim is a graduate of Cleveland State University and his Professional
associations include the Cobalt Development Institute, Cleveland Chemical
Association, NAPM and Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries. Tradewinds
has established trading partners in Europe, Russia, Far East and Australia
in order to conduct its worldwide sourcing and takes great pride in
providing its clients world-class quality and service to serve their
precise metal and specialty chemical requirements.
Allen W. Browne - Project Manager and Director
Mr. Browne started his mining career in the Cobalt Camp 41
years ago. He has worked at many types of mining, including hard-rock
mining, exploration and development in Canada and the United States. Al
can operate many kinds of mining equipment including jumbo scoops etc..
Since becoming involved in Outcrop Explorations, Al has also acquired the
skills necessary to stake claims, do line-cutting and mineral exploration
which all fall into the category he loves most - involvement in the great outdoors.
Al's hobbies are hunting, fishing, camping and playing guitar, as well as
wood-working,for which he has just recently acquired a fondness.
